Week 4 -5
August 28, 2014
At the end of this 4th puppyweek only very quickly a couple of pictures. As for the rest there is not much news to report, everything is just going super with both mummy Venice and her beautiful children. And up till now we are very lucky with the weather, the past few days the pups were able to linger in the garden in the morning ánd in the afternoon for almost an hour. Hopefully it stays that way!
Day 34: instead of a waterbowl there is a drinking nippel and the pups understand perfectly how that works!
A chewing bone for the first time and that goes well too! Pictured left male 'black' and right male 'red'

Stretched! (male 'blue')
My view from the couch ;-)

Day 33: breakfast in the garden

Mummy stops by afterwards for a 'glass of milk' and in the meantime she's licking out the meatbowl
Clever pup on the drybed!
"Hey granny, how cosy!"
But Yacime only came by to sweep the treatballs... :-)
Such a funny picture! (the males 'black' (left) and 'blue')
Female 'orange' hidden in the tunnel

Pleasure!
August 26, 2014

Last Saturday it was warm and dry enough to let the puppies make their acquaintance with the phenomenon 'garden'. For this occasion the outdoor pen was already slightly furnished with some novelties; not too many right away as that might be overwhelming for the puppies, so just starting on a small scale. And that had a positive effect, moreover mummy and Dyonne were there too so very quickly all ten were playing and running! On the Sunday their Puppy Playground was made somewhat more tempting by means of a big inflatable ball and a rattling treatball. Also a knotrope and a bottle with marbles were slung; the pups can push against it or pull it, besides it's good for the little ones to gain the experience of something moving and/or making a sound. Everything already as a part of the socialization! I hope in the coming weeks the weather will be good enough to have them in the garden for a little while every day because they have so much fun there.
Meanwhile the puppies also had their first meatporridge-meal (fresh meat mixed with goat's milk), they again attacked it like wolves!! Their faeces remained good by it too, a sign that their intestines tolerate the new food well. Ofcourse they also still get more than enough milk from mummy so they grow very fast and look fantastic. Happy, grateful doggies they are, I feel very blessed to again have all this beauty around me!

Day 32: we start the day with a playing tour:
Female 'purple' and male 'blue' are frolicing together with a toy...
... male 'black', female 'mint' and male 'green' are inspecting the new teddy bear...
... female 'orange' and female 'yellow' are intervening with Dyonne...

... and male 'red' is molesting the tunnel together with his sisters 'pink' and 'brown' ;-)
Rather tiring such a playing tour!
Day 31: having a good meal of meatporridge
And it goes clean gone!

Afterwards about everything is smothered ;-)

"When are we going to have this wonderful food again??"
Day 30: mummy is the sweetest!!!
Lazy Sunday Afternoon ;-)
Male 'black'
Male 'red'
At the end of the afternoon, with a bit of sunshine, in the garden for a short while!
The hanging toys: knotrope (female 'brown')

Bottle with marbles (male 'black')

Pups usually love to climb on everything
Male 'blue' with the treatball
They think it is a great Puppy Playground!
Mummy (front) and granny GLADLY clean the snouts when in the evening the pups again had some meat :-)
Day 29: the garden debut - luckily mom is there too!
Female 'yellow' with the little duckling

Never seen before: a waterbowl...

This is also terribly interesting!
And ofcourse joining in... Dyonne! (with her belly still dirty from the walk in the woods)
Ohhhh, how fast asleep they are afterwards!
Male 'red'
Day 28: the last time on the scale, from the 4th week on I don't weigh the pups anymore
Male 'green'
Every time I put the tunnel in the pen the puppies go completely crazy!
Little beauty...
Female 'purple' playing with Pip (Pip is a doggy character from a Dutch children's book series)
My father has his birthday and for sure he likes this as a present: cuddling with female 'mint'!

You can't understand how this is a nice way to sleep :-)
