About my breeding
|
|
I breed
very selectively and so I just occasionally have carefully
bred puppies available. For my breeding
I only use parents that are healthy, have the desired
will-to-please and achieve excellent results at the dogshows. Ofcourse
the entire character also must be alright: I like a Golden Retriever
to be happy, full of life and enthusiastic, soft natured and very
huggable!
All
Rocksett-pups are born in my home and raised there as well. So
already at a young age they get used to all sorts of (household) sounds,
various people and other pets. Also they regularly
go outside; in the garden, but as soon as they are up to it (appr.
at 6 weeks of age) they can easily go for a short car ride, for
example to a small field where they can play a bit. Also when it's
possible I like to visit an elementary school with the pups. All
these things I find very important for the habituation and
socialisation. When the pups are 7 weeks old a character test will be
carried out to a.o. define their working ability, will-to-please and
own
initiatives; this test will help to asses which pup
suits which family situation best.
By the time
the pups are
ready to move to their new owners they all had their first vaccination
with a health check and their faeces
will be checked w.r.t. the deworming.
Furtermore they have
an EU Pet Passport and are chipped by/have an officially
FCI-registered pedigree
from the Dutch Kennel Club.
At approximately
6 months of age a litter
reunion will be held, this always is a very pleasant event that both dogs and owners
enjoy very much!

a different letter from the praefix, thus the
R-litter, O-litter, C-litter, K-litter etc. (in random order).
