Week 1-2
February 8, 2013
The past few days have been quite demanding with a couple of patients here at the Rocksett Home (hence the few updates). But fortunately now everyone and everybody has recovered to a large extent and I can finally finish this webpage that I already started in the middle of this week ;-).
Day 12: wisely hanging over the rail just like mummy
Sleeping Beauty - female 'red'
Male 'black' with his lovely face
An impossible position (male 'green')
Day 11: grandma Yacime who's helping me during the weighing of the puppies
The whole family in the view again
The clown of the pack: male 'blue'

Pedigree names
February 6, 2013

After doubting and pondering long, I finally settled the matter last weekend (with help from my sister) of the pedigree names for this T-litter. Every time I have puppies, I find it very difficult to pick the nicest possible names: I always end up with a gigantic list and cannot seem to make up my mind about which ones I like best. But anyway, I again managed to make a choice and this morning a letter from the Dutch Kennelclub arrived confirming that all the names were approved. Which doggy gets what name will only be decided during the chipping, which will happen in about a month. But the names I can reveal here already:

The males       The females
Rocksett Tons Of Fun Rocksett Trick Me Once
Rocksett Tap On Wood Rocksett Twice As Nice
Rocksett Teach Me Tricks Rocksett Turn Me Loose
Rocksett Touch Of Tan Rocksett Trip On Love
Rocksett Trace Of Gold

The puppies themselves don’t care much about name issues ;-), they are busy growing and developing. And they are good at that! They all weigh appr. 1 kilo now, have their eyes open which gives them more expression in their little faces. Only a few more days and they will start wobbling straight out of the whelping box…

Day 10: closely together often is a favorite way to sleep for a puppy
Female 'mint' lazy, and...
... female 'mint' active (here she's trying to climb over the rail of the whelping box)
The eyes have now opened (here male 'black')
What a difference compared to a week ago!
Day 9: mother and daughter...
Female 'mint' is leapfrogging
The males 'grey' and 'green': the most pale and the most coloured male in the litter
Female 'purple' nicely with her head on the rail
Synchronicity! (left picture: female 'mint' and male 'blue', right picture: female 'red' and male 'black')

Sleep well, mummy....
In the sandwich
A very relaxed male 'black'
Day 8: cozily together in a corner (female 'red', male 'blue', female 'purple' and female 'pink')
Playing hide and seek
A get-together: female 'mix' and male 'black'
Day 7: the pups are now 1 week old and hów they've grown in 7 days...
Whoops... :-)
The females 'red' and 'mint' nicely chilling
Even when the pups are not drinking, Venice loves to sleep with them
