The
foundation of the kennel was in 1995, when I
imported the 9 weeks old puppy Chanel (Ch. Dewmist Crossmolina) from
Sweden. At the time I already owned two Golden
males, Chico (Gregarious'
Admiral Marigold)
and his younger halfbrother Yanic (Gregarious'
Brandnew Adventure). In
1996 the kennel registration took place and in 1998 the first
Rocksett litter was born with Chanel as the
proud, caring mother and foundation bitch.
To
my terrible sadness, I had to part with Chanel in the middle of 2009, rather
unexpectedly despite her great age; she was 13 years and 8 months old. Yanic passed away in
2003 at 11,5 years of age. Chico died in 2005, he lived to be
14 years and 6 months old. These marvelous dogs
will for always be treasured, sadly missed and never forgotten...
In
2006 my wonderful puppy Yacime (JCh.
Cheek to Cheek Beetlejuice) made her entrance; she grew into
a charming, clever young lady and became
a mother for the first time at the end of 2009.
From this litter, three pups stayed:
Venice
(Rocksett Calling Yoo Hoo) and her brothers Milan
(Rocksett City Side Walks) & Roman (Rocksett Crunching The
Snow). Needless
to say I’m hoping for a healthy, happy and successful future with and for
them!
Besides occasionally
breeding I also take great pleasure in
undertaking many things with my
dogs. My
motivation for all this is simple: this
breed just deserves an active,
variable life full of impulses. So my dogs are treated
daily with a wonderful walk in the woods
and/or a great swim, I train field trial
with every dog and also we are frequent
participators in dogshows.
Over
the years I came to appreciate the Golden
Retriever more and more, and I cannot
imagine myself living without this fantastic
breed; it's with great love that I spend all
my time and attention around them. Also
I ofcourse try to keep informed
as much as possible about everything that's
going on in the breed.
